ORIGIN: Craig Crumb was bad news from the day he was born, and always on the wrong side of the law. After spending his youth in detention centers and juvenile hall, he eventually rose to the level of two-bit hood. Then on a heist gone wrong, Craig Crumb got the first break of his life when he accidentally activated an experimental electrical generator. Instead of electrocuting him, Crumb was imbued with electrical powers, which he plotted to use in his quest to become...a really big two-bit hood.
HISTORY: After first gaining his powers, Electrode had an intial run in with Galaxy Heroes who quickly defeated him. He was incarcerated for several years. Later , he was broken out of prison by the demonic villain Death Master, who formed a deadly alliance with the Countess and Electrode as The Destroyers. The Destroyers learned GHI's secret identities and used this information to murder members, their familiies, and blackmail GHI into early retirement. Believing the field was now clear, the Destroyers stole a nuclear warhead and held it for ransom. GHI proved resilient, and stopped them. A grief stricken Vagabond lost his sanity, however, and shot D.M. and Electrode to death. (See flashback, issue#1). Electrode remains dead, however someone else may soon rise to assume his mantle....
