SUPER POWERS: Casts a fog-like shadow field of darkness. Following his resurrection, he has also gained a psionically-based death stare, creating feelings of doom and despair in his target.
ORIGIN: After helping a stranded alien, a teenage Kirk and his friend, Janice Alexander, were rewarded with super-powered gloves. Outraged at the fear and prejudice they saw in their encounter with the alien, they adopted the crime-fighting identities of Nightshadow and Prism.
HISTORY: Both Nightshadow and Prism joined Heroes, Inc. as teenagers when several younger sidekicks of the original team banded together to rescue the senior members. As a member of Heroes, Inc., Kirk grew into adulthood and fell in love with Gravity Girl. During a battle with the Destroyers, Nightshadow was killed in battle by the deadly touch of DeathMaster. Recently, he was resurrected with one of five fabled "spells of the Dark Resurrection," and has returned to active duty. However, he was disapointed to learn that during his abscense, Gravity Girl had become engaged to SunGod. Gravity Girl broke off the engagement, however, and recently renewed her realtionship with Kirk. However, unbeknowst to Nightshadow, his old partner Prism (Janice Alexander-Fong) is harboring a secret that could destroy his relationship.
