SUPER POWERS: Enhanced strength, speed, and endurance; limited flight (really super "jumping"). Also possesses an unknown mystery power as the result of her resurrection.
ORIGIN: Sentry comes from the secret nation of Arcadia located under the polar icecap of Antartica. Arcadia is a technologically advanced female-dominated society that was isolated from the rest of the planet eons ago. When nuclear testing threatened the safety of Arcadia in the late 50's, agents were sent to all quadrants of the world to monitor man's activities.
HISTORY: Liana was first assigned the Caribbean quadrant of the world, where she joined the now-defunct Mighty Maulers. When several Mighty Maulers and Heroes, Inc. members (including Lee Smith, the first publicly-known Sentry) were lost in an inter-dimensional limbo, Liana was re-assigned to North America and joined Heroes, Inc. A year later, Liana was killed by DeathMaster during the "Betrayal" saga. Recently, Liana was returned to life with one of the fabled "Spells of the Dark Resurrection," and returned to active duty. The four others revived with these spells received special powers as a result. Much to her embarrasment, Liana later learned that her secret power was super-bouncing (issue#10). Recently, her back was broken in a battle with the mutant Density, landing Liana in the hospital (issue#12). She is currently on reserve status, while she recuperates.
