SECRET IDENTITY: Blaze Rockmore OTHER ALIASES:Blase Ir (Xendarian birth name). CIVILIAN OCCUPATION: Former singer for "Blaze Rockmore and Liquid Vomit" CURRENT STATUS: Missing in the Sound Dimension - presumed dead. SUPER POWERS: Sonic control of all solid matter; this primarily allowed for flight and matter manipulation. ORIGIN: The son of a demon mother (from the Sound Dimension) and a human father (from the planet Xendar), Blase and his twin sister Aireena were abducted by their nanny and taken to Xendar as infants. There, they discovered their sonic powers as adolescents. While Blase used his powers for good - adopting the guise of "Songbird" and joining the planetary champions "The Overseers" - Aireena became the terrorist known as "Screamer" and led a civil war on Xendar. HISTORY: The Overseers (Dynamo, Stargazer, and Songbird) chased Screamer across the galaxy, to the planet Earth. When Screamer was shot down over Earth, the Overseers crash landed on the Moon. Unable to repair their ship, the Overseers put themselves into suspended animation and awaited rescue from their homeworld . In 1969, seven thousand years later , Dynamo was awakened by the first Apollo lunar landing. Much to his dismay, he learned that his comrades were missing from the ship. After helping form Galaxy Heroes, Inc. in 1973, Dynamo later tracked down the missing Songbird and Stargazer. The missing pair were still in cryo-sleep and had been abducted by a space pirate some years earlier. Awakening from their long sleep, Songbird and Stargazer became GHI's first new members. Then, in 1990, Songbird's sister Screamer resurfaced on Earth, still alive. After a battle with both Galaxy Heroes and the Mighty Maulers, Screamer and Songbird accidentally opened a portal to their birthplace - the Sound Dimension. There, Songbird ended his sister's reign of tyranny by pulling her into the flames of the Great Abyss, where they both presumably died. (See issue #5). KNOWN RELATIVES: Aireena Ir- sister (aka the villain Screamer), Trysteria -demon Mother, Jedda Ir -father. FIRST APPEARANCE: Issue#2 (as a statue in the GHI hall of the dead), Issue#5 (flashback). |
