SUPER POWERS: Flight, healing, and the ability to call on divine intervention (in extreme situations!). Also possesses a magical staff of power.
ORIGIN: Nearly a hundred years ago, young cleric Arthur Broderick waged a battle against the arcane witch Lotira, resulting in his death. On his way to the afterlife, the Almighty intervened and recognized that Arthur had died before his time. To rectify this situation, the holy Father returned Arthur to the mortal world, granted him immortality (although not invulnerability!) and awarded him the staff of Moses for protection.
HISTORY: Staff joined Heroes, Inc. during their battle with Lotira and her Cult of the Damned. It was his power that ended her immortality, aging her to her true years... and ultimate demise. However, Lotira was revived with one of the "Spells of the Dark Resurrection" a year later, and murdered Staff by impaling him on a wooden spike. Staff's ghost has reappeared twice: once to aid in the resurrection of Vagabond's wife, Heather, and later to stand guard over Lotira and DeathMaster in Hell.
KNOWN RELATIVES: James "Jimmy" Broderick (Jimmy Two Staff) - son from the future.
