SUPER POWERS: Enhanced stamina, agility, and intelligence. Also possesses a chem-blaster, which can be adapted to many settings including chemical solutions and laser settings.
ORIGIN: Robert was raised in a troup of traveling circus gypsies. As a young boy, he began to exhibit exceptional physical and mental skills, the source of which is not yet known. When his parents were murdered after becoming witnesses to a gangland slaying, Robert decided to use his skills in the pursuit of justice.
Recently, Robert learned his special abilities were actually the work of Dr. Lunar, an alien scientist, who had tampered with his DNA while still in the womb. Dr Lunar's efforts were designed to create a race of super-soldiers to defend Earth against an impending alien invasion. Dr Lunar had actually manipulated many of the events in Vagabond's life, including his adoption of his Vagabnd guise, and the formation of the Mighty Maulers. Siege (Cullen 'Brien) was a later version of this same experiment.
HISTORY: Vagabond joined Heroes, Inc. when his first team, The Mighty Maulers, was lost in the sound dimension along with several members of Heroes, Inc. His mental stability has been in question ever since his wife Heather was murdered at the hands of Deathmaster during the "Betrayal" saga. His involvement in the subsequent slayings of DeathMaster - and his associate, Electrode - was cleared based on reason of temporary insanity. Recently, following the resurrection of his wife, Heather (see Achronolas), Vagabond was kidnapped by Dr. Lunar. During his absence, an impostor bearing his likeness (Siege) assumed his place on the team and identity, including his role as husband to Heather. Vagabond finally escaped his captivity and exposed Siege as an imposter (issue#9). GHI travelled to Lunar Island, where they discovered Vagabond's true origins, and Dr Lunar's manipulation of his entire life (Issues # 10-11). As a result of Siege stealing his identity, his wife Heather is now pregnant, and either Robert OR Siege may be the father.
